Strigino Airport Sends 35,000 Rations to Quarantined Senior Citizens

Strigino airport (part of the Airports of Regions holding) has already handed 35,000 free rations over to quarantined senior citizens. Starting on April 1 Nizhny Novgorod airport’s flight catering service has been making 500 daily three-meal kits including breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Regional social services and volunteer organizations are engaged in the distribution and delivery of food kits to lonely retirees older than 65 who are obliged to keep the lockdown regime because of COVID-19 coronavirus infection. The given group quarantined in their homes is in need of help more than others because they do not have any loved ones to support them.
Providing free food kits was the initiative taken by the Airports of Regions holding affiliated with Renova Group. For one month and a half this action is realized in several airports run by the holding. The catering services of the airports Koltsovo (Yekaterinburg), Kurumoch (Samara), Platov (Rostov-on-Don), Petropavlosk-Kamchatsky (Elizovo) daily make more than 3,500 free three-meal rations for groups of people in dire need.
