The body temperature of passengers is taken several times: at the entrance to the passenger terminal, in preflight inspection areas near boarding gates and check areas, using infrared scanners and remote-sensing thermometers.
Visitors to the airport may buy facemasks, disposable gloves and antiseptics fr om vending machines set up for the convenience of customers before the entry inspection area as well as in departures and arrivals areas.
Markings in passenger sojourn areas remind people of the need to keep social distancing, and all chairs in the waiting areas are marked with special boundary signs.
To prevent the spread of coronavirus infection, we keep reminding the airport passengers that they need to:
- wear protective facemasks and gloves;
- treat hands with disinfectants;
- keep the social distance of at least 1.5-2.0 meters;
- minimize the number of accompanying persons and lim it the stay of passengers at the airport to no more than 2 hours.
Among other preventive measures taken at the airport is daily cleaning with disinfectants. A special emphasis is placed on the treatment of contacting surfaces at check-in counters, door handles, switches, handrails, inspection areas, exits to boarding gates as well as apron buses, air-stairs and other equipment used in the passenger and aircraft service.
Intense treatment of the input-extract circulatory system is performed while germicidal UV air sanitizers are installed in smaller premises.
The terminal’s administration raises the awareness of passengers to the personal hygiene rules as well as to the need to use individual protection gear and keep social distancing.
Engagement with specialized agencies exercising the control of sanitary quarantine standards and ensuring law enforcement is organized at the airport along with a regional emergency response center for the prevention of coronavirus infection spread in the territory of Nizhny Novgorod Region.
